Aspect Climbing is Jason Albino
Hey there, I'm your coach Jason!
Aspect Climbing is currently a one-person shop, and that person is me. A native Californian now in Utah, I went to college for Cognitive Science, and I now incorporate psychology within that discipline into this coaching practice.

It's been a long, winding road I could never have predicted - working in the tech industry, running a catering business and then a consulting firm, and having the privileged opportunity to teach and mentor so many folks along the way.

For the past 16+ years, my greatest passion has been climbing. I learned to climb at the Touchstone gyms in the Bay Area and then learned trad in Yosemite and Lover's Leap in the Sierras. Since then I've visited dozens of gyms, and crags across the US and beyond, dedicating myself passionately to improvement. I've toiled through all the usual mental battles, injuries minor and major, and come out stronger on the other side. And somehow, I keep pulling onto the wall for more.

It's my mission to coalesce and distill the best learnings I've absorbed from many of my own coaches over the years with the experiences I've had succeeding and failing on my own. The aim is to deliver those insights to you in the most personalized way possible. Climbing is a portal to challenging our complete self, and everyone deserves an educated path to getting the most from their climbing career.
